About us

We have been cruising with guests aboard our lovely Barge Colibri for more than fifteen years now, and are still totally smitten. We really enjoy welcoming our guest aboard Colibri and sharing our cruising with you.

Each cruise is special and different. The country side changes, new plants blossoming, colourful spring birds, first fruits, autumn leaves, and of course our guests, all different and sharing the cruise and many other experiences with us, be it musical lunches, steam powered launches cruising by or owls hooting over head at night. Sharing our passion for Colibri and cruising the canals of France is a great pleasure, and of course the fine foods and wines of our cruising regions.

We have worked for many years in the luxury yachting industry, cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, from Europe to Australia, back to Alaska and have now chosen to make the canals of France our cruising ground. Having married in France and fallen in love with the country, life style, foods and wines, we can think of no better place to cruise.

Our background deeply routed in the luxury service provision, with formal training and years of experience, means we are skilled in offering a discrete and exceptionally high level of service. Having offered our service to various Royal families, heads of state, and some very discerning guests, we enjoy offering the same standard of service to our guest aboard Colibri.

Fiona

I ran away to sea on completion of my degree and never made it back to take up « a proper job ». Having been chief stewardess / head of household on large super-yachts, offering service to very private individuals and high profile ‘party’ people, it is now time to take up our own challenge and offer Colibri for charter. With a background in catering and luxury service, we hope to delight you with a gastronomic tour of France with Mediterranean influences.

Earl

Earl who is Australian, was drawn to Europe to search out family ties and has since made it his home. Having cruised widely with many ocean passages as an officer on vessels up to 75meter. Earl is delighted to take command of his own vessel. With the knowledge and experience gained from super yacht chartering and his love of people, to welcome and entertain guests aboard his own boat is one of Earl’s dreams. His enthusiasm for life will come across as soon as you meet.

Trooper

Trooper has recently joined the Colibri crew, he is still learning the ropes, and will hopefully have them mastered very soon. He has some big paw prints to fill and we are sure he is up to the task.
